Corrugated Wine Shippers
Corrugated wine shippers are the workhorses of wine logistics. They take the abuse so the bottle doesn't have to. You'll see them in e-commerce parcels, winery direct shipments, and import cartons. Our version starts with greyboard at 1200 g minimum and a facing paper at 157 g or heavier. That's the baseline for a box that survives a courier van loaded three times before it reaches the customer.
What separates a shipper that works from one that fails is what happens inside. A bottle that can slide, rattle, or tilt under load will break. So we hold inserts to plus or minus 1 mm and the box body to plus or minus 2 mm. The neck and shoulder never float unsupported. If you're shipping wine, the box is not packaging. It's protection.
Choosing a corrugated shipper
Start with bottle count and bottle shape. A single Burgundy bottle needs a different insert than three Bordeaux bottles. We make shippers for one, two, three, or more bottles. The insert must grip at four points: base, body, neck, and shoulder. If your bottle has a long neck or an unusual shoulder, tell us. We adjust the die cut rather than forcing a generic fit.
Think about how the box travels. A shipper for a wine club monthly drop goes through different handling than a palletized export carton. For e-commerce, the box gets kicked, dropped, and stacked. For import, it sits under 40 kg of top load for a day or more. We run both scenarios in our in-house checks before you ever see a sample.
Also decide if the shipper is the final presentation or just a protective shell. Some buyers want a printed corrugated box that doubles as the retail pack. Others want a plain kraft shipper with a rigid gift box inside. We can do both. The corrugated version is cheaper per unit, but it will not have the shelf presence of a rigid box. If the box has to sell the wine, look at our rigid wine boxes instead.

Can you make a corrugated shipper for just one bottle?
Yes. Single-bottle corrugated shippers are one of our standard categories. The insert is die cut to your bottle's profile, so the bottle is held at four points. We test it with the shake, tilt, and invert checks before shipping.
What if my wine bottle has an unusual shape?
Send us the bottle sample or exact dimensions. We adjust the insert die line to match the shoulder and neck. The four-point hold still applies. We do not use a generic insert and hope it fits.
Do you offer printed corrugated shippers or just plain kraft?
Both. We can print your brand on the corrugated facing paper, or supply plain kraft shippers. Printed corrugated works when the shipper is also the retail pack. Plain kraft is common when a rigid gift box goes inside.
What we control in production
Board and facing paper are fixed. Greyboard at 1200 g minimum, 1400 g recommended for spirits. Facing paper at 157 g minimum, specialty or coated. No recycled greyboard, no high-moisture paper. That combination keeps the box from softening in a humid warehouse or tearing at the crease. For corrugated shippers, the fluting matters too. We spec the flute profile to the box size and bottle weight, so a single-bottle shipper does not crush under a multi-bottle carton.
The insert rule is non-negotiable. The bottle is held at four points, no unsupported neck or shoulder. We check three ways: shake the loaded box for ten seconds, no movement. Tilt it 45 degrees, no slide. Invert it, no release. Our control tolerance is plus or minus 1 mm on the insert and plus or minus 2 mm on the box body. For foldable shippers, the creases must not crack, magnets sit within plus or minus 1 mm, and corners hold 90 degrees when erected. Colour control uses Pantone matching, first-article approval, and mid-run sampling. Black, deep blue, and burgundy are the hardest to hold. Our in-house pre-shipment checks include a 1.2 m six-face drop test with the bottle loaded, stacking top load of 40 kg or more for 24 hours, and truck and sea vibration simulation. No internal movement allowed.
