Corrugated Wine Shippers
Corrugated wine shippers are the workhorse of wine logistics. They are lighter than rigid boxes, fold flat before use, and take a bottle or several bottles through courier and freight networks without adding much weight to the shipment.
We make them as folding cartons with a separate insert. The insert is what does the real work: it holds the bottle at four points and stops it moving during transit. The outer carton carries the load and the label.
How to Choose a Shipper
Start with the bottle. Give us the diameter and height of the bottle, or send a sample, and we build the insert around it. A bottle that moves inside the carton will break, no matter how strong the outer box is.
Decide how many bottles go in one carton. Single, double and triple bottle options are common for e-commerce orders. Multi-bottle shippers for six or twelve bottles are better handled as rigid boxes or with a different insert design.
Think about the carrier. Corrugated shippers are fine for most courier and truck freight. If the carton will be stacked in a container for weeks, tell us and we will specify a heavier board for the outer carton.

What board do you use for corrugated wine shippers?
We use corrugated board for the outer carton and a separate insert, usually EVA foam or moulded pulp. The insert holds the bottle at four points. The board grade is chosen for the bottle weight and the shipping method.
Can I get a corrugated shipper with a handle?
Yes. We offer handle options for single, double and triple bottle shippers. The handle is cut into the outer carton and reinforced so it does not tear when the carton is carried by hand.
How do you test that the bottle will not break in transit?
Our in-house checks include a 1.2 metre six-face drop test with the bottle loaded, a stacking top load of 40 kg or more for 24 hours, and a vibration simulation of truck and sea transport. We check for any internal movement.
