Multi-bottle orders change the packaging math. Two or three bottles can share a single cavity, but four, six, or more need a different structure, a stronger board, and an insert that keeps each bottle independent. We build these boxes around the bottle count first, then the transit route.

Buyers usually come to us with a bottle sample or dimensions, a reference design, and a rough idea of whether the box will ship by courier, pallet, or sea container. How to choose

Start with the bottle count and bottle shape. A four-bottle box for standard Bordeaux bottles is different from a six-bottle box for Burgundy or sparkling. Send dimensions or a bottle sample first, then we can set the cavity layout and the insert type.

Decide between rigid and wooden. Rigid greyboard boxes with a magnetic or drawer closure work for retail and gifting. Wooden boxes with a lacquer finish suit premium sets. Corrugated shippers are for pure transit when the box will not be displayed.

State how the box will travel. Courier and express need drop and vibration resistance. Sea freight adds stacking time and humidity. We adjust the board, insert, and closure accordingly. Our in-house checks cover drop, stacking, and vibration simulation with bottles loaded.

Can you make a multi-bottle box that holds different bottle shapes together?

Yes. We map each bottle's neck, shoulder, and base into the insert. The insert holds each bottle at four points, so mixed sets stay put. No unsupported neck or shoulder.

What is the minimum board weight for a multi-bottle box?

We use greyboard at 1200 g minimum. For heavier sets, 1400 g is recommended. Facing paper is 157 g minimum specialty or coated. We do not use recycled greyboard or high-moisture paper.

How do you check that the bottles will not move in transit?

We run three checks on the loaded box: shake for ten seconds, tilt at 45 degrees, and invert. If there is any movement, the insert is adjusted before production.
