Rigid Wine Boxes for Transit and Display
Rigid wine boxes do two jobs. They protect the bottle through courier and freight handling, and they hold a clean shape on a retail shelf. We build them around greyboard, not folding carton stock, so the box keeps its corners and the bottle stays put.
These boxes ship flat or pre-glued depending on the structure. Buyers usually come to us with a bottle size, a quantity, and a display requirement. From there we work through structure, insert, and facing paper as one package.

How to Choose
Match the structure to the use. A rigid lid-and-base box gives the strongest retail look and stacks well. A magnetic closure box is easier to open and close repeatedly. A drawer or double-door box suits gifting and unboxing, but costs more per unit than a simple foldable style.
Pick the insert by bottle weight and neck shape. Velvet trays and EVA foam hold standard 750ml bottles well. A paper mould insert is lighter and nests for storage, but it is less forgiving with unusual bottle shoulders. We check the bottle at four points, never just the base.
Choose facing paper for the environment it will meet. Flocked paper hides scuffs and feels soft. Leather-textured paper gives a premium look without leather cost. Gold or silver cardboard reads well on shelf but shows fingerprints more than kraft or textured stock.
Buyer questions
How do you make sure the bottle does not move in transit?
We build the insert to hold the bottle at four points and avoid unsupported neck or shoulder contact. Our in-house checks include a ten-second shake with no movement, a 45-degree tilt with no slide, and an inversion with no release.
Can you match a specific Pantone color on the box?
Yes. We use Pantone matching with first-article approval and mid-run sampling. Black, deep blue, and burgundy are the hardest to hold across a run, so we sample those more carefully.
What is the difference between a blank sample and a printed sample?
A blank sample shows the structure, insert fit, and board thickness without any printing. A printed sample shows the final facing paper, logo, and color. We recommend approving the blank sample first because structure changes are cheaper to fix before plates are made.
