2-Bottle Cardboard Wine Gift Box

Rigid cardboard makes up this two-bottle box. A leather-style surface sits on it, a magnetic flap closures the front, and a handle is built into the top, which means it moves from shelf to gift bag without extra wrapping. Wineries and retailers use it for presentation sets, corporate gifts, holiday promotions. The insert hugs the bottle shape rather than acting as a simple divider, and the board's density holds corners even inside a courier van. Surface paper, foil color, insert dimensions can all be changed to match your label. It's not a shipping shipper by itself, but inside one it protects well.

  • Body is rigid cardboard. Dense board holds the box square under load. It won't crush against other cartons in a case.
  • Closure is magnetic flap. Opening tears nothing and shutting needs no tape. Flap stays aligned after repeated use.
  • Finish reads as leather. The surface isn't printed paper. Gold foil accents are an option for the logo area.
  • Insert is custom. Its foam or velvet tray gets cut to your bottle shape. Neck and shoulder are supported, not just the base.
  • Handle is built in. A portable handle lets a customer carry two bottles with one hand. It anchors to the board, never glued on.

Customisation

You can alter the bottle count to one or three. Adjust the insert to bottle diameter and height, then pick surface paper, flap style, handle color. Logo printing works too, including foil stamping on the leather texture. Blank and printed samples go out before mass production.

How the box is built

The body isn't folding carton. The walls resist bending when picked up by one corner. Over the board, the leather-style surface is laminated and then folded around edges so greyboard never shows. During assembly, the magnetic flap gets set into the front panel, and the handle is fixed through the top structure.

Dropping into the base, the insert is a separate piece. Foam, EVA, molded pulp can do the job. Because our insert comes with a plus or minus 1 mm tolerance, the bottle doesn't rattle inside the cavity. On the box body, tolerance runs plus or minus 2 mm, which keeps lid and base aligned.

Bottle fit and checks

Each insert holds the bottle at four points: two on the body, one at the neck, one at the shoulder. We follow that rule because a bottle resting only on its base tilts when the box is carried by its handle. Fit gets checked three ways before approval. Shake the closed box for 10 seconds and listen for movement. Tilt it 45 degrees and watch for sliding. Invert it and confirm the bottle stays put. If any of those fail, the insert is recut, which applies to every custom insert, not just the first sample.

Where it fits

Wineries selling two-bottle sets, corporate gift programs, wedding favors, retail shelves where the box is the display all find it suitable. The handle makes it practical for a customer to carry out of the store. For bare transit, it's not right. When bottles ship inside a corrugated shipper, use this as the inner presentation box, but if they ship alone, add that outer. The rigid board protects against knocks, though it isn't a shipping container itself.

Buyer questions

Can the insert be made for my specific bottle shape?

Yes. With bottle dimensions or a sample bottle, we cut the insert to match. Neck and shoulder get support beyond the base, so the bottle doesn't tilt inside the box.

Will the magnetic flap hold if the box is shipped flat?

Set into the front panel during assembly, the flap stays aligned even if the box ships flat and is erected later. Magnet position is controlled to plus or minus 1 mm.

Is this box strong enough for courier delivery without an outer carton?

Because it's rigid cardboard, crushing resistance beats folding carton, but an outer corrugated shipper is still recommended for courier delivery. The handle and magnetic flap aren't made to take direct courier handling.
