Customisation

Box and insert size get adjusted to your bottle dimensions. Should the foam insert need to hold different bottle shapes or add a second opener, it can be changed, and the gold trim can be swapped for silver or black.

How the box is built

Because the base is rigid cardboard, not corrugated, the box keeps clean lines and a solid feel. Where a paper wrap would eventually show handling, the PU leather outside stands up to it better. Gold metal trim runs along the edges and latches. With the handle attached to the lid, the whole box carries like a small case.

Inside, a custom EVA foam insert is cut to hold two bottles and a corkscrew, the foam being firm enough to keep the bottles from knocking into one another. We check the insert against our control tolerance of plus or minus 1 mm. The box body is held to plus or minus 2 mm.

How the bottles sit

What the foam insert does is hold each bottle at four points, which means there's no unsupported neck or shoulder, and that matters when a courier van gets loaded three times before it reaches the customer. We shake the loaded box for 10 seconds and the result is no movement. Once we tilt it to 45 degrees, there's no slide. And once we invert it, there's no release. Those three checks are part of our in-house pre-shipment routine for this box. The metal latches, too, keep the lid from popping open if the box gets dropped.
