Invert it: no release. The paper bag gets the same scrutiny. Load the full set, lift it by the handles, and check for stress at the attachment points. If the bag sags or the handles pull, we adjust the board weight or the handle style before mass production. Our in-house pre-shipment checks include a 1.2 meter six-face drop test with the bottle loaded. If the set cannot survive that, it does not leave the factory.

Do I have to order the case and bag together?

You can order them separately, but we recommend together. When we build them as a set, the bag dimensions match the case exactly. That means the case slides in without forcing, and the bag does not look oversized or undersized. If you order separately, you need to give us the case dimensions and we match the bag to those.

What if my bottle shape is unusual, like a tall Riesling or a heavy Champagne?
