Customisation
You can customise the PU colour, add crocodile embossing, choose your hot stamping or UV coating, and adjust the interior to fit your bottle shape. The size is flexible. We'll work from your bottle sample or dimensions to make sure the fit is right.
How the box is built
The body is cardboard wrapped in PU leather. That combination gives you a rigid feel without the weight or cost of a wooden box. Hot stamping, UV coating and embossing are all available on the outer surface, so you can put your logo or winery name where it will be seen.
The clasp is metal and magnetic. It holds the box closed in transit and gives a clean opening action at the point of sale. The handle is PU, matched to the wrap. Because the box folds flat, the creases are the weak point. We check that they don't crack when the box is erected, and we control magnet position to plus or minus 1 mm.
Bottle fit and carrying
This box is made for one standard wine bottle. The interior is sized to hold the bottle without letting it rattle, and the magnetic clasp keeps the lid down. We run the same checks on this box as on our shipping boxes: shake it for 10 seconds and there should be no movement, tilt it 45 degrees and the bottle should not slide, invert it and the bottle should not release. The PU handle is meant for carrying, not for shipping. If you're sending this through a courier network, put it inside a corrugated shipper. The box itself is not a shipping carton.
Where it works
This box suits wineries, wine clubs, corporate gifting and e-commerce sellers who want a single-bottle presentation that doesn't get destroyed in transit. It's a good fit for premium single bottles, limited releases and thank-you gifts. Can this box be used as a shipping box on its own?
No. It's a gift box with a handle and magnetic clasp. It's not designed to be dropped from 1.2 m with a bottle inside. For shipping, place it inside a corrugated shipper. We can supply those too.
How flat does it fold for storage and freight?
It folds completely flat. You'll save on warehouse space and shipping volume compared to a rigid box. The creases are checked so they don't crack when you fold it up.
What bottle shapes does it fit?
Standard Bordeaux and Burgundy bottles fit well. If you have an unusual bottle, send us the dimensions or a sample and we'll adjust the interior. We check the fit with shake, tilt and invert tests.
