Customisation

We can change the paper color, texture, and finish. Logo printing goes on the lid, the side, or both, in Pantone matching with first-article approval. Size can be adjusted for different bottle shapes. Handles can be swapped for ribbon or removed. Inserts can be added: velvet tray, EVA foam, or paper mould. The magnet can be upgraded or replaced with a tuck closure.

How It's Built

The box starts as seven pieces of 1200g greyboard. That's our minimum for wine packaging, and for a double bottle box with a handle, it's the right call. The pieces are cut, creased, and hinged so the box folds flat for shipping and erects into a rigid shell in seconds. The book shaped magnet closure keeps the lid aligned without a latch.

The greyboard is wrapped in black texture paper, 157g minimum. The paper is laminated to the board before die cutting, so the edges stay clean. The leather handle is riveted through the top panel with a metal buckle. No glue-only attachment. The magnet is set into the lid and base, and our control tolerance for magnet position is plus or minus 1 mm, so the closure sits flush.

Bottle Fit

Two standard wine bottles slide into the base, side by side. The interior is not padded, so the bottle fit comes from the tightness of the insert. If you need a velvet tray or EVA foam, we can add it, but this stock version relies on the box dimensions. We check the fit by shaking the box for 10 seconds with bottles loaded. No movement. Then we tilt it 45 degrees, no slide. Then we invert it, no release. That's the standard we hold for every double bottle box, whether it's this foldable one or a rigid lid-and-base.

Where It Works

This box suits wineries and e-commerce sellers who ship two bottles as a gift set. It's also used for spirits and champagne in the same 750 ml format. The foldable design makes sense when you store empty boxes in a warehouse and pay by volume. It's the wrong choice if your bottles are heavy, like magnums or thick glass. Can this box fit two bottles of different shapes?

Yes, if the total footprint fits within 36 x 24.5 cm. We can adjust the internal divider or add a custom insert to hold a Burgundy bottle next to a Bordeaux bottle. Send us the two bottle types and we'll confirm the fit before cutting.

Does the leather handle hold up in shipping?

The handle is riveted through the top panel, not glued. We test it by loading the box with two full bottles and lifting it by the handle repeatedly. It doesn't tear or stretch. For rough courier handling, we recommend adding a corrugated outer carton.

How flat does this box ship?

Fully flat, about the thickness of the greyboard plus the paper. You can stack hundreds in a small carton. Freight cost is a fraction of a pre-erected rigid box. Erecting takes a few seconds per box, no tools.
