Double-Bottle Red Wine Gift Box with Double-Door Design

This is a two-bottle gift box built around a double-door front and a Chinese New Year motif. The red exterior carries detailed door god patterns, so the packaging reads as festive without being generic. Inside, a flocked insert holds both bottles at four points and there is a slot for a wine opener. The handle is stitched leather with gold-finished hardware. It suits wine brands that need a seasonal gift format, or importers who want a transit-safe box that still looks like a gift at retail.

  • Double-door structure. Front panels open from the center and stay closed with a gold-stamped circular magnetic seal. The closure is simple but secure enough for courier handling.
  • 1400g greyboard body. The base board is dense enough for two standard bottles without flexing. Facing paper is 157g texture paper with CMYK print and UV coating.
  • Flocked insert with opener slot. The precision-cut insert stops bottle movement and there is a dedicated space for a professional wine opener. No loose parts inside.
  • Leather handle with metal hardware. The stitched red handle is reinforced at the attachment points. It carries the loaded box without tearing or stretching.
  • Festive but not disposable. The door god motif is printed, not applied as a sticker. The matte lamination keeps the red from showing fingerprints after handling.

Customisation

The structure, size, and insert are all open to change. You can adjust the cavity to fit a specific bottle shape, change the facing paper and print design, or switch the handle material and hardware finish. The double-door front and magnetic seal can stay or be replaced with a lid-and-base. Colours, foil stamping, and lamination type are all decided during sampling.

How the box is built

The body starts with 1400g greyboard, which is above our 1200g minimum for wine boxes. That matters here because two bottles plus a handle puts load on the top panel and the hinge points. A thinner board would bow or crack at the corners after a few trips. The facing paper is 157g texture paper, printed CMYK, then finished with UV coating and lamination. The lamination gives the red a soft-touch feel and protects the print from scuffing when boxes are stacked.

The double-door front is the structural weak point in most two-bottle boxes, so the magnetic seal is set into a circular gold-stamped area. That spreads the pull force instead of concentrating it on a thin edge. The handle is stitched leather with gold-finished metal hardware, and the attachment points are reinforced on the inside. You will not feel the handle flex when you lift a full box.

How the bottles sit

The flocked insert is cut to hold two standard wine or spirit bottles at four points each. No unsupported neck or shoulder, which is the rule we apply to every insert we make. The insert tolerance is plus or minus 1 mm, so a bottle does not rattle in a loose cavity or jam in a tight one. Before release, we shake the loaded box for ten seconds and check for movement, tilt it to 45 degrees and check for sliding, then invert it and check for release. If any of those checks fail, the insert is recut. The opener slot is sized for a standard professional opener, so it does not rattle against the bottle glass in transit.

Where it fits

This box is aimed at Chinese New Year promotions, festive gift sets, and high-end wine brands that want a seasonal format without changing their whole line. It works for retail display because the double-door front opens flat and the red reads well on a shelf. It is also a fit for e-commerce gift orders where the box is the presentation. It is the wrong choice for a plain corrugated shipper, a single-bottle format, or a brand that wants a neutral, non-seasonal look. If you need it year-round, the door god motif can be swapped for a different print while keeping the same structure.

Buyer questions

Will the magnetic seal hold if the box is shipped in a courier network?

The circular magnetic seal is set into a gold-stamped area, which spreads the pull force. We do not rely on the magnet alone. The double-door panels sit flush against the insert and the box body, so the magnet only has to hold the panels closed, not carry the bottle weight. In our in-house checks, the loaded box is drop-tested from 1.2 m on six faces and the doors stay shut.

Can the insert be changed to fit a different bottle shape?

Yes. The flocked insert is cut to the bottle dimensions you send us. If you have a Burgundy or sparkling bottle, the cavity profile changes. The four-point contact rule stays the same: no unsupported neck or shoulder. We check the fit with a loaded box before mass production, using the shake, tilt, and invert tests.

Is the red colour stable across a production run?

Red is one of the harder colours to hold, along with black and deep blue. We use Pantone matching for the red and approve a first-article before the full run. During production we pull mid-run samples to check the colour against the approved standard. The UV coating and lamination add a layer that protects the red from fading or scuffing in transit.
