Leather Wine Box with PVC Window

A single-bottle wine box, in leather, with a clear PVC window so the bottle remains visible while the box does the protecting. A metal clasp keeps it closed, and there's a leather handle for easy carrying. Built for two jobs: sitting on a retail shelf or being handed over as a gift. The leather is stitched, not glued, so it stands up to handling. The window is set into the front panel. Embossed lettering can go on the front without covering the bottle. While this is not a shipping box, it pairs well with our corrugated shippers for safe transit.

  • Clear PVC window. The bottle shows through the front panel. Customers see the label before they pick the box up.
  • Stitched leather body. The seams are stitched, so it won't peel apart at the corners like a glued box can.
  • Metal clasp closure. That clasp holds the lid shut, and it won't pop open if the box gets tilted in a bag.
  • Leather carry handle. Fixed to the box, so you can carry it by hand without worrying about the bottle shifting.
  • Embossed lettering option. Your brand embossed on the front panel, where it sits above the window, not over the bottle.

Customisation

You can change the leather colour, the embossed lettering, and the size of the window. The interior insert can be adjusted for a wider or taller bottle, and we can also change the clasp finish or the handle style. Send us your bottle dimensions or sample, plus your logo, and we will provide a quote based on your chosen options. What you'll get first is a blank sample for checking the structure, then a printed sample with your embossing.

How the box is built

The body is leather, stitched at the seams. That's the difference between this and a paper-wrapped box. Now, paper can tear at the corners after a few trips in a courier van. Leather flexes. The stitching holds the panels together under load, and that's why the box keeps its shape even when it's stacked with other boxes.

The window is PVC, set into the front panel. Not a flimsy film, but sturdy enough to keep its shape. The clasp is metal, mounted on the front edge. The handle is leather, attached to the top. Since all the hardware is fixed before the box leaves the factory, there's nothing for the buyer to assemble.

How the bottle sits

The bottle sits inside, visible through the window. The interior is shaped to hold one standard bottle. We build the insert to your bottle dimensions or sample, and then we check the fit four ways before mass production. Shake the box for 10 seconds: no movement. Tilt it 45 degrees: no slide. Invert it: no release. And the bottle must also be held at four points, with no unsupported neck or shoulder. If your bottle fails any of these checks on the final insert, we adjust the insert until it passes. That's how we make sure your specific bottle won't move inside.

Where it works

This box suits wineries selling single bottles at the cellar door, wine shops with a gift section, and e-commerce sellers who want a premium unboxing moment. That includes corporate gifts or event giveaways where the bottle is the star. It's not the right box for shipping a case across the country because it has no crush resistance for stacked freight. Use it for hand delivery, retail display, or a courier bag. And if you need a box that survives a pallet, look at our corrugated shippers.

Buyer questions

Can the PVC window be made larger or smaller?

Yes. The window size is tied to the bottle shape, so we adjust it to keep the label visible while avoiding exposure of the neck or shoulder. You'll see that window placement on the printed sample before mass production.

Does the leather handle hold up if the box is carried by hand a lot?

It does. The handle is stitched into the leather body, not riveted through a single layer. We pull-test the handle during production. In fact, if it starts to tear at the attachment point, that box is rejected.

What if my bottle is taller or wider than a standard Bordeaux?

Send us the bottle dimensions or a sample. Then we'll adjust the interior insert and the box height. The window stays the same proportion. The four-point hold rule still applies, so that bottle won't slide even in a taller box.
